Along with the producers FULL HOUSE and MORENA FILMS  and with the international distributer WILD BUNCH, HAVANA CLUB INTERNATIONAL is delighted to announce the World Premiere of the film 7 DAYS IN HAVANA on December 10, 2011 at the 33rd International Festival of New Latin American Cinema in Havana, Cuba.

Havana International Film Festival is indeed dedicated to the promotion and reward of works whose artistic value contributes to enrich and reaffirm Latin American and Caribbean cultural identity. The screening will be the opportunity to present the film to the very city that inspired it.

7 DAYS IN HAVANA is a snapshot of today’s Havana, a contemporary portrait of an eclectic, timeless and fascinating city, and depicted by seven film makers. Benicio Del Toro, Pablo Trapero, Elia Suleiman, Julio Medem, Gaspar Noé, Juan Carlos Tabío and Laurent Cantet captured, each in its own way, one day of the week.

Some of the seven stories making up the movie are based on three scripts written by famous Cuban novelist Leonardo Padura, coordinator of all the narratives.The film soundtrack is provided by Cuban musicians Descemer Bueno and Kelvis Ochoa, a duo well-known In Cuban pop music, and Spanish composer Xavi Turrull.

Renowned producer of Cuban rum, Havana Club International has demonstrated over the years its commitment to the city and its inhabitants. The company has led numerous projects showcasing contemporary Cuban culture throughout the world, particularly through the ‘Havana Cultura’ Initiative. With its active participation to the movie alongside Full House and Morena Films Havana Club International has reached a new stage in its dedication and commitment to supporting the work of the greatest artists.Presenting the result of this unique adventure to Cubans is the first step for Havana Club International and its partners before taking the film to numerous festivals and markets where it will be presented in 2012.

The producers, FULL HOUSE and MORENA FILMS, along with the world sales company WILD BUNCH, want to state that the post production is still in progress, and the final version of the film will be ready in few months.
